Dr John Hewson is the former leader of the Liberal Party of Australia. John has had a distinguished business career both before and after his political career. He has worked as an economist for the Australian Treasury (Census and Statistics), the Reserve Bank, the International Monetary Fund and also as an advisor to two successive Federal Treasurers and the Prime Minister. John was a Director of Macquarie Bank and a past Chairman of ABN AMRO in Australia.

His academic career included 11 years as a Professor of Economics, with four years as Head of the School of Economics at the University of New South Wales, and two years as Dean, Macquarie Graduate School of Management and Professor of Management at Macquarie University. John has been director of many organisations and has guided many from early stage to maturity. John has been extensively involved in the climate debate in Australia and internationally.

Julian Poulter is the Founder and Executive Director of the Asset Owners Disclosure Project. He is also Business Director of research and advocacy group The Climate Institute, based in Australia. Julian is an experienced business executive with his primary experience in strategy and change consulting combined with several CEO and director roles. He has managed companies and projects in many diverse industries including investment, finance, manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, distribution, retail, telecoms, IT, tourism, transportation,  commercial property, and media. He is a stakeholder council member of the Global Reporting Initiative and Chair of the GRI Investor Working Group.

Sharan Burrow is the General Secretary at the International Trade Union Confederation, guiding policies and initiatives for its 175 million members. She was previously president of the Australian Council of Trade Unions.

Sharan is the Honorary co-Chair for the World Justice Project and until recently was the president of the International Centre for Trade Union Rights. She has been outspoken about the need for asset owners and their trustees to play a full role in exercising their responsibilities on environmental, social and governance issues.

John Connor is the Chief Executive Officer of climate change research and advocacy group The Climate Institute, based in Australia, ensuring high level analysis and information are introduced to the climate debate. John is a lawyer with a diverse background including as a researcher for former Independent member of NSW Parliament Dr Peter Macdonald, as a leader in environment organisations like the Australian Conservation Foundation, and as a co-convenor of the Make Poverty History campaign while working at World Vision.

John has worked on numerous government advisory panels, most recently for the Prime Minister’s Task Group on Energy Efficiency, and is a member of Westpac’s Customer Consultative Council, the Board of the Environment Defenders Office, the Commonwealth Government’s NGO Roundtable on Climate Change, the NSW Government’s Climate Council, and is a “Governator” with the Australian Youth Climate Coalition. 

Dr Andrew Hilton OBE is Director of the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation (CSFI), a non-profit think-tank, since 1993 supported by 65 City institutions, that looks at the future of the global financial system. The CSFI has held nearly 800 roundtables on issues of pressing interest in the financial services sector including EMU, the single market, the internet, small business finance, high-tech start-ups, microfinance and regulation, which in turn have led to three books and over 80 reports. Andrew has worked for the World Bank, run a financial advisory service for the Financial Times in New York and is a board member of the Observatoire de la Finance in Geneva. Andrew has a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, and MBA from Wharton and an MA from New College, Oxford.

Bob Litterman retired in 2009 from his position at Goldman Sachs Asset Management as Chairman of the Quantitative Investment Strategies group. In total he spent 23 years with Goldman Sachs in a range of areas including investment management, risk, finance and the operations, technology and finance division. Prior to this Bob was assistant vice president in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank and an assistant professor in the Economics Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Bob is a board member of the World Wildlife Fund and the Asset Owners Disclosure Project.
